Making Spiced Pecans

Our 4th Annual LAST MINUTE RECIPE™ was almost too late!

In January we started working on a kitchen re-do for our covid escape cottage, joking that our only real deadline would be Thanksgiving. HA on us!

Easier than pie

This recipe is made with few ingredients that you might already have on hand this time of year. And like a good munchie does, these spiced pecans really get the appetite cranking!

 

Simple Spiced Pecans

2 cups whole pecans

1/2 cup sugar

3/4 tsp. salt

1 tsp. cinnamon (or pie spice)

3/4 tsp. nutmeg

1 egg white

2 Tbs. water

 

Preheat oven to 300 degrees and grease a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.

In a medium bowl, mix dry ingredients. 

In a small bowl, lightly beat egg white and water and add to nut mixture. 

Bake for 30 minutes. Cool completely before breaking apart and enjoying!
