IN THE MAKING: FLOWERS FINESSED
A behind-the-scenes look at the painting process that transforms our canvases of leather into sleek flowery accessories.
How can a bag of structure and substance feel delicate, effortless, and cool when the sun burns hot and the air gets heavy? It’s a question we’ve answered with a paint brush and a light touch.
Hand-painted onto rich black leather, our latest collection features two distinct interpretations of floral pattern.
These flowers are imaginative and sweet but not fussy or fluffy. They reflect a levity that is clean, modern, and sophisticated–a complement to the bags and wallets they adorn.
The Daisy Field series is an abstract arrangement of dotty flowers individually placed by our artisan team. The amazing one-of-a-kind effect justifies the labor involved in this process. The hundreds of tiny white petals and scores of yellow centers each receive between 4 and 5 coats of paint! As finished products, no two bags or wallets are the same.
The Pop Flower series blends the OM Namespace logo with a scattering of playful pop-art flowers in sunny yellow and sky blue. To create the “OM” stamp, stylized letters were hand-carved into a flexible rubber block.
On blue lambskin, the metallic “OM” stampings filter in and out of view with holographic effect.
